  Do you actually make the tile?

Yes, we manufacture the tile in our factory in Little Rock, AR. We use all North American raw materials. The body is mixed, pressed, fired and mounted in the USA.

What colors do you make?

We custom match and make all historical colors from the 1860s-1940s. CLICK HERE for or our historical color palette. Shop pics are also helpful for color combinations.

What sizes do you make?

We manufacture all historical sizes from the 1860s-1940s.  If you don’t see a size listed, ask us, we probably have tooling.

How thick are your tiles?

Our historic tile is 1/4" thick.

What is the spacing between the tiles?

Standard spacing is 3/32". We can space as tight as 80% of 1/16". Historically we match existing, otherwise we mount at 3/32"

What grout and grout color should I use?

Light/Medium grey sanded grout. View our installation tips and guidelines for more information! 

*We really like SPECTRALOCK® 1 by Laticrete.

Any installation tips?

Choose a skilled installer, install on a level floor, be particular, use grout release and a sealer.   Also, use grout release.   And don't forget grout release.  AND THEN SEAL IT!

*We really like Aqua Mix® Grout Release and STONETECH® Impregnator Pro® Sealer by Laticrete.

How do I place an order?

Email Erin at tile@restorationtile.com. Sketches of your space are very helpful. We are happy to do a budget take-off of your project.  CLICK HERE for more ordering info!
HOW TO ORDER

What is your turn-around time?

Typical turn-around time depends on what orders are currently in our production queue. Typical turn-around time is 12 weeks (smaller orders can take less time, larger orders will take more time). With increasing demand, lead times may push to 14 weeks. Lead time starts once deposit has been paid.

How do I calculate how much tile I will need?

What payment types do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, bank transfers, check and cash. We will send you an online invoice that you can pay online or mail us!

CLEANING

Should I seal the tile?

YES!  Sealing will keep dirt out of the micropores on the surface of the tile.   Porcelain is impervious to stains, water, and temperature; however, until a natural patina forms, dirt can get trapped in the tiny pores of the surface.   Using an oil based sealer (We like STONETECH® Impregnator Pro® Sealer by Laticrete.) will initiate that patina and keep your floor easier to clean.

SHIPPING

How long will shipping take?

We ship using priority freight to get your order to you as quick and safe as possible! Tile is heavy, so account for 2-4 days transit depending on your area. We ship from our dock in Little Rock, AR. 

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We will get an international quote based on the weight of your order. 

RETURNS

Can I return my order?

Generally, no. All of our tile is custom made. Once you receive your order, please inspect the tiles. We will glady correct any defects or inaccurate orders before installation. We do not refund after installation.

What if I don't like the color?

All of our tile is custom made-to-order. If you don't like your color, contact us.  Each request will be considered on a job-to-job basis.
